About MarpleNewtown.online
Marple Newtown News & Governance Watch is an independent, resident-run newsroom covering local government by the record.
Independent community news site. Not affiliated with or operated by Marple Township, Newtown Township, the Marple Newtown School District, Delaware County, or any government body.
What we cover
Marple Township Board of Commissioners, Newtown Township Board of Supervisors, the Marple Newtown School District board, planning and zoning bodies, county government, and the contracts and spending decisions those bodies make. We also publish dated, unpaid community features.
What we do not do
We do not accept payments, permit applications or service requests — those go to the official agencies. We do not publish allegations about named private individuals or claims sourced only from social media.
Ownership and conflicts
This site is independently owned and operated by a Marple Newtown resident. It accepts no government funding and no payment for coverage. Restaurant and community features are unpaid editorial and carry no sponsorship. If a story involves a dispute in which the owner or editor is personally a party, a prominent disclosure is published with the story and the copy is independently reviewed before publication.
